  Paralympic Games Throwback
  Dear Sir or Madam,

It's been just over a month since the Paralympics ended in Tokyo. But the images of the games are still vivid in the memory of the TV viewers and all participants. For some sports enthusiasts and possibly future Paralympians there was recently the opportunity to participate in the Talent Days in Leverkusen and train with Johannes Floors and León Schäfer. More about this in our news. In addition, you can find out what it was like for technicians from service partner Ottobock during the Games in Tokyo in our "We asked"-interview.

Have a nice week!

When you are disabled and/or chronically ill, self-acceptance is an important step in dealing with yourself and your disability – or in Antonia Feistenauer's case, her disabilities and diseases. What or who helps her in everyday life, what – on the other hand – would help society in dealing with disabilities, she told REHACARE.com.

Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability in adults worldwide. Rehabilitative therapy is currently one of the best options that patients have to help regain lost motor function. While several studies over recent decades have pointed to the benefits of starting therapy within 6 months after a stroke, there is debate among the medical community regarding how intensive it should be.

I am here, we are here, and the world should know it – with this message, the World Cerebral Palsy Day on October 6 should not only draw more attention to the disease. It is also intended to raise awareness of the fact that there is still a lot of catching up to do in terms of the participation of people with cerebral palsy in many areas of society.
