Smart therapy ball for home use

  Dear Sir or Madam,

With the help of the small smart therapy ball ichó, patients can now continue the therapy of neurological diseases in their own homes. The little ball offers different colors, sounds and vibrations, as well as over 100 different support programs, and thus encourages patients to use it. Even Martin Rütter, a well-known German trainer for dogs, has already been convinced and is an investor in the company. You can find out more about ichó and its uses in our We asked... interview: ichó: The smart therapy ball for home use.

Have a nice week!

Nowadays, mobility for many people with disabilities means being able to be self-determined in their own car. One prerequisite for this is a driver's license. Which detours and obstacles Sascha Scholz had to overcome to get his license, where he went on his subsequent European tour, and how he rolls otherwise, he tells us on REHACARE.com.

When conducting clinical research, investigators aim to control as many variables as possible so it is easier to examine the effectiveness of new treatments. However, this sometimes means strict requirements lead to only a narrow population of patients being eligible to be enrolled in a trial.

Lifting a glass, making a fist, entering a phone number using the index finger: it is amazing the things cutting-edge robotic hands can already do thanks to biomedical technology. However, things that work in the laboratory often encounter stumbling blocks when put to practice in daily life. A team at FAU is investigating how intelligent prostheses can be improved and made more reliable.
