  Accessibility on all floors
  Dear Sir or Madam,

Accessible apartments do not necessarily have to be located only on the first floor. An elevator can provide access to all areas of a residential building. But it can also provide more freedom within one's own four walls. This was the experience of activist Raúl Krauthausen earlier this year. You can find out how the Lifton Homelift can be used to comfortably reach all floors of your own apartment in our "We asked" interview.

Have a nice week!

Raúl Krauthausen recently discovered how much an elevator can make your life easier and add accessibility to your home. These days, the disability rights activist uses the LiftonTRIO Home Elevator from Lifton GmbH to navigate his apartment in Berlin. Reason enough for REHACARE.com to ask the Liftstar Group what makes the Lifton home elevator so different from other systems.

Wheelchair securement operators face a challenge: the nature of traditional 4-point securement can be both complex and highly customized. In a transportation fleet, every vehicle could potentially have a different securement system, making the job of securing passengers even more difficult for the driver. Q’STRAINT ONE aims to address this issue by offering a way to standardize securement.

If society doesn't provide accessibility, people have to do it themselves. That's why, Anna Fee has not only become active in the field of fashion. What "going your own path" means to her, why a flight was her greatest adventure to date and how she rolls otherwise, she tells us at REHACARE.com.

Touch, hear, participate: Assistive technology helps conquer visual impairment
Topic of the Month

Blindness or visual impairment means a loss or partial loss of the sense of sight. What it doesn't mean is that those who are impacted by this must aim lower or feel inferior. An abundance of vision aids does a fantastic job of replacing the sense of sight in the best way possible.
